We hosted a Xmas in July dinner for some work friends on Saturday night. We wanted to do a punch and fortuitously, some friends tracked down a punch bowl from a country op shop for us. The recipe for orange and rum punch came from Stephanie Alexander’s Recipe’s My Mother Gave Me.
1 cup rum
1 bottle red wine
Slice oranges thinly and place together with cloves in the rum and wine for 4 to 5 hours. Add lemonade just before serving. Went down a treat. Also added some dry ice for a bit of fun.
