Fried Rice with Chinese Sausage

Hump Day. Not a heap of inspiration and no real plans for dinner. Decided to try and use some leftovers in the fridge and some chinese sausage got the guernsey. http://www.eatyourbooks.com led to me to Fried Rice with Chinese Sausage from David Thompson’s Thai Food.

David Thompson’s Thai Food. One of my favorite cookboooks. I knew when it was coming out, bought it as soon as I could find it and haven’t been disappointed. Its a treasure trove of information and great recipes and is beautifully put together. I’ve cooked quite a bit from it but admittedly hadn’t turned to it for some time.

This dish was simple, quick and tasty – perfect for hump day.

  1. Love Chinese sausage, or lap cheong, as we’ve always known it. Never bought David Thompson’s book – I’ve always found its size a little intimidating!

    Hi Celia,

When you say you find the size a little intimidating, are you confusing with Thai Street Food by DT – this is quite big, a bit over A3 size I think. Thai Food however, is a more normal sized book, quite compact for all the info in it actually.
