Yesterday was a stinker in Melbourne so noone was in much of a mind to cook dinner. We decided on a caeser salad and I had to tick off a book, so I jumped onto http://www.eatyourbooks.com to find one. This is a useful site that allows you to search your cookbooks for recipes or by ingredient. About 90 odd of my cookbooks have been indexed by the site so far and are therefore searchable.
Anyway, it threw up quite a few receipes and I chose one from ‘New Food’ by Jill Dupleix. I’m pretty sure I was given this book about 10 years ago, so it was nice to use it. As I use each book, I’m trying to make a conscious effort to explore them a bit so it won’t be so long before I use them again!
After a hot day, it was a nice meal to have outside on a balmy evening with a chilled glass of semillon.
5 down, 222 to go.
