Today was my daughter’s 14th birthday and she requested chicken and leek pie for dinner, well that was her 2nd preference, after I vetoed beef wellington. Anyway, I found a recipe in a cookbook I have called ‘passion – seductive food’. Not really sure why I bought this but its fair to say this cookbook probably fits in the surplus to requirements category. Maybe it was because it has a laksa recipe.
The pie turned out OK and tasted good but as you can see from the pic, the filling split. Birthday girl was happy though and that is the main thing.
